Levanto

This particular village is a point of reference for people traveling to the Cinque Terre via Genova. From an economic point of view, Levanto is perfect for anyone who wants to economize while visiting the Cinque Terre. The village is along the rail line from Monterosso (that can be reached in 4 minutes) and staying in Levanto is much cheaper than in the villages of the Cinque Terre.

Places of interest in Levanto

It is difficult to answer the questions: “Where should I go in Levanto, what is there to see?” There are not many places of interest here, but on the other hand there are many centuries-old buildings that deserve a visit. We suggest you visit the fortress, the palaces, the religious buildings (for example the monastery of the order of the Poor Clares and the ancient church of Santa Maria della Costa). We also recommend a stroll along via Roma in Levanto which leads from the station to the waterfront. And you can go to the beach or to the neighboring village along the walking trails: it is mainly for this reason that tourists come to Levanto!

Beach, Levanto, Italy

The beach in the small town of Levanto is a bit like the beach of Monterosso. It’s large and well-kept, but it’s a pebble beach, with free or paid areas and other infrastructure. The coastline and the fishermen’s boats is a feast for the eyes.
