The Cinque Terre, with its national park, occupies a small part of north-west Italy. It is a sequence of five villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, set on the hilltops and cliffs of the Riviera del Mar Ligure (The Ligurian Sea) all connected by countless trails and a railway line.
